A Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) is open for Pueblo County and Custer County residents who have been evacuated or otherwise impacted by the Aspen Acres Fire.
The DAC serves as a one-stop recovery and re-entry center. All evacuees should visit the DAC to register and present proof of address to receive a color-coded re-entry pass, which will be required to return to evacuated areas once evacuation orders are lifted. The center also connects residents with disaster recovery resources, including victim services, United Way of Southern Colorado, food assistance, the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment, behavioral health services, the Department of Human Services, the American Red Cross, agricultural assistance, and private insurance representatives.
Transportation assistance to the Disaster Assistance Center is available through the SRDA of Pueblo County for people of all ages. To schedule transportation to the DAC, call 719-553-3436. Phone lines are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Department has put together a list of resources in Fremont county. Follow them on Facebook for updates.
